big updates

Hey Guys, its been quite a while since we have updated the blog n stuff, but about a week ago we got some really exciting news from our friends who went to Vietnam with the money and support we raised this year.

We received about four emails via Joanne and Matt with all kinds of really exciting information about what God was able to do with the money we raised over the last year.

first off we were able to use the money for a few things so keep on scrolling down.

These are some pictures from the hospital where they perform the cataracts surgeries for which no shave November 2008 went toward.

Dr. Tuyet (she is the doctor who does the cataract surgery) and the hospital director receiving your check

a picture of a baby waiting to have the surgery at Children's Hospital #2 where cataracts surgery is performed on children.

another really exciting part of what we were able to do is send some money to buy jackets for the orphans at Khe Sanh.

the orphans at Khe Sanh in their new jackets.

its been a while since an update but we want you to know that your support was greatly appreciated and that these orphans and children are still going to need your continued support and prayers. also we would like to challenge you that it does not stop at the checkbook. whether it is finding a way to help with people in your own area that are less fortunate or packing your bags and spending some time outside of our comfortable day to day lives. if you have any questions about some ideas of what you can do feel free to let us know and definitely we can figure something out, cause that is what we are about. trying to get more people involved and changing lives.

George Muller

Here is a good book that we just wanted to let anyone who is a book junky know about, it is the Autobiography of George Muller.

It is a book a book on the life of a man whose:

“Unwavering, childlike dependence upon his heavenly Father will inspire you to confidently trust the God of the impossible to meet your needs in every area of your life.”

Please Join us as we read through this book ourselves.

TwinFallsGrapeVine.Com

So our latest adventures have involved about 4,000 fliers, the eastern half of twin falls, over 40 miles a day, and two ridiculously cool razor scooters.

Jordan’s dad happened to find an add in the nickle classifieds advertising a money making opportunity for a local non-profit organization that would be willing to pass out thousands of doorknob fliers for 13 cents a door. so far we have passed out over 700 and Jordan’s dad passed out a substantial amount as well.

Thanks twinfallsgrapevine.com!

No-Shave November

Hey There everybody Here is a late photo update about how No-Shave November was a success.

We should not be amazed at what God is able to do, and the fact that through generous donations and some serious scruff we were able to raise over 500 dollars can only be attributed to God.

And just so that you know that’s almost 7 surgeries that will be able to be afforded(check out the Project 20/20 page for more info on that)
